(July 1)--The cement exports via Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region’s Erlianhaote Port surged by 229.5% year-on-year to 236,900t in the first five months, with the total value soaring by 245.5% to US$ 11M, based on news from the Ministry of Commerce today. Moreover, the cement exports accounted for 39.64% of the Port’s total exports, with the proportion increasing by 23.5 percentage points. The sharp increase is partly spurred by Mongolia’s rapidly rising demand thanks to the country’s economic development and infrastructure building, and partly the result of the huge domestic supply and the increasing number of export enterprises.
